DeepGreen Users’ Meeting at the BiblioCon in Hannover
As in June 2022 at the Library Congress in Leipzig, a DeepGreen users’ meeting was held again this year on May 23., this time as part of the 111. BiblioCon in Hannover. The event was well attended with about 30 participants. In addition to representatives of the repositories cooperating with DeepGreen, curious external visitors were also present.
DeepGreen staff members Tim Raab (BSB München) and Stefan Lohrum (KOBV) reported on current developments in the area of publisher cooperations, as well as on technical innovations such as metadata mapping and delivery of the DEAL-Springer data.
As a guest, Thorsten Wetzenstein from the University Library of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel gave a keynote presentation entitled “Deepgreen – an interface-driven approach to data enrichment and analysis: conception of a workflow with modules in RStudio”. The talk presented approaches to bibliometric analysis of the data provided by DeepGreen using the Bibliometrix tool.
The slides of both presentations will be available on the BIB-OPUS publication server soon.
The meeting, which was held under the motto of exchange and development, concluded with a speed dating session for the DeepGreen participants, which was intended to serve the exchange of experiences and networking. There were 12 people involved in this interactive format.
We are very pleased with the participation and hope to see you again soon in a year’s time.
